Wishology was founded in 1927 by my great-grandfather, Penn Wisher. You’re just now hearing about it because time has a way of disappearing things…

My name is Page Wisher, and I am a writer. The fantastical story of my great-grandfather is one that no person having an ounce of sanity would ever tolerate. And I was one such person with an ounce of sanity, but the last drop dried up when I discovered an elaborate mansion buried deep underground in North Carolina, near the vicinity of a city that no longer exists. Its contents made a mockery of my skepticism and corroborated at least some of the outlandish tales told by my eccentric relatives.

Unable to deny my own eyes, I have decided to resurrect Wishology as an entertainment company for all ages, publishing books, producing films, and… Well, who knows what the future may fetch “From the Wells of Wishology”?

Wishology is admittedly quite different from what my great-grandfather had envisioned. For this reason, I have additionally chosen to implement the lifelong work developed and perfected by Penn Wisher: The study of wishes.

A wish is inside every coin cast into Wishology’s many wells, and behind every wish is a story. Through an exceedingly complicated process, Wishology scientists painstakingly extract each curious story from the coins. We call these brief tales Storycoins.

Most of the time, the coins choose to whisper the stories to us through fictional representation, presumably because fiction is often more truthful than fact. Despite the enormous resources required for us to acquire them, we will be relaying our findings to you through email on a weekly basis, completely free. And who knows? It might just be your wish we study!
